Winter SIXES LEAGUE

Winter Sixes League

This winter, we're bringing back the popular and fast-growing Sixes style of play, offering divisions for both girls and boys youth players.

Our league will follow the World Lacrosse and PLL Sixes format, with each team consisting of 6 players on the field: 1 goalie and 5 players using only short sticks. Each half will begin with a faceoff, and goalies will clear the ball from their goals. Sessions will last 1.5 hours, featuring 40 minutes of training followed by a 4-quarter game.

The league will welcome both town teams and free agents. Town teams can register together, while free agents will be evaluated and placed on teams based on their skill level.

The league will kick off with a training and evaluation session, where each player's performance will be assessed. Based on these evaluations, teams will be drafted within each age group. This format promotes both competition and skill development, ensuring a fun and educational experience for all participants.

Each week will feature 40 minutes of skill progression, stick work, small-sided drills, and box lacrosse concepts. After training, players will split into teams and compete in games coached by 4 Leafs professional staff members.

Players who want to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment will compete in a 10-week schedule, which includes 1 training session, 8 league games, and 1 playoff game. Matchups will vary each week, ensuring a dynamic and competitive experience.
