The 4 Leaf Experience

Boys Travel Lacrosse in NH, ME, MA & Vermont

4 Leaf Lacrosse is the premier boys travel lacrosse club in Northern New England — with year-round training programs in New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Northern Massachusetts. Our boys teams compete at the highest level of youth and high school club lacrosse, with a roster built from the best players across the region. Whether your son is a seasoned club player or stepping onto a travel team for the first time, the 4 Leaf experience is designed to make him better, every session, every season.

Why Families Choose 4 Leaf Boys Lacrosse

Most club lacrosse programs ask a lot of families — and deliver an average experience. 4 Leaf is different. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on the belief that elite training should be accessible to serious players across the region, not just those who live near a major metro area. That commitment shows up in how we build our program.

  • Two teams per graduation year — so every player earns their spot through merit, not just geography
  • Year-round schedule across NH, ME, VT, and MA — train near home, compete everywhere
  • Coaches with collegiate and professional playing backgrounds at every age group
  • Six dedicated college recruiting coaches working with every athlete from Day 1
  • More training hours per season than any other club in the region

Year-Round Training Schedule — Built Around Your Athlete

Here is what a full 4 Leaf season looks like for boys players:

Fall - Training camp + regional sessions per location (NH, ME, VT) + 2 premier tournaments

Winter - 5 regional training locations + 18 weeks of indoor position-based skills = 90 total sessions

Spring - Youth only: 4 mini training camps + 2–3 play days. High schoolers train with their school teams.

Summer - Preseason training camp + Team Practice the nigh before tournaments wherever we are playing + regional sessions per location + 3–4 competitive tournaments

Fall Lacrosse

The fall season sets the tone. Boys high school and youth teams attend two premier tournaments in October or November, competing against the top club programs in New England and Beyong. Before the first tournament, 4 Leaf brings all teams together for a full-day training camp — so players are sharp, connected, and ready to compete from day one.

Regional Fall Training — Optional, Flexible, High Quality

In addition to tournaments, we offer regional training sessions at each state location throughout the fall. These sessions are skill-focused and position-based. We know fall schedules are packed with school sports and family commitments, so nothing here is mandatory, and we do not take attendance. The sessions are here for athletes who want the extra edge.

Winter

The Core of Player Development

If there is one part of the 4 Leaf program that separates our players from the rest, it is the winter. We offer over 90 training nights from November through February, more than any other club in Northern New England. These sessions are fast-paced, repetition-heavy, and run by coaches who hold every player to a high standard.

Position-Based Skills — 5 Locations, Your Schedule

Winter training is included in your program fee. Players can attend as many or as few sessions as their schedule allows, no attendance is required, no sessions are mandatory. We recommend attending the location most convenient to you. Current winter training locations:

  • Tyngsboro, MA
  • Amesbury, MA
  • Hooksett, NH
  • Williston, VT
  • Portland, ME

Spring

Spring at 4 Leaf looks different depending on whether your athlete plays high school or youth lacrosse. High schoolers participate exclusively with their school teams during the spring season.

Town Season & Youth League Play

We strongly encourage our players to participate in their town rec program, your son's relationships with his future high school teammates matter, and those are the players he will compete alongside for state championships.

Our youth teams compete in 2 play days and a tournament vs the top clubs in the region. Spring practices run as mini training camps, each session is four hours of structured work spread across four sessions total. The goal is to arrive at summer competition with better skills and a more cohesive team.

Summer

Showcases, Tournaments & Team Training

The summer season is where everything comes together. Running from June through mid-July, every 4 Leaf boys team competes in three to four tournaments including college showcase events where Division I, II, and III coaches evaluate players directly. Every team is staffed with two coaches to maximize contact time and in-game coaching.

College Showcase Events — Seen by the Right Coaches

Summer tournaments at 4 Leaf are not just about winning. We strategically schedule events where college coaches attend, ensuring our players get evaluated by D1, D2, and D3 programs throughout the season. Combined with our dedicated recruiting staff, this exposure is why 4 Leaf athletes consistently commit to college programs across the country.

Training Locations

4 Leaf is one of the only boys lacrosse clubs in the region to offer training across four states. We come to your area, you should not have to drive hours for elite coaching.

Your Path to College Lacrosse Starts Here

Every 4 Leaf boys player has access to our college recruiting program from day one. We have six coaches dedicated to the recruiting process, all working under our Director of Recruiting. We help your son identify academic and athletic fits, connect with the right coaches, and build the film and profile he needs to get noticed.

We have helped athletes use lacrosse to gain admittance to schools their transcripts alone would not have supported. That is the 4 Leaf difference.

Boys Experience FAQ

What graduation years does the 4 Leaf boys program serve?

4 Leaf boys travel teams are available for graduation years 2027 through 2036, covering approximately grades 2 through 11. We field two teams per graduation year to keep competition levels high and roster spots meaningful.

Do boys players have to attend every training session?

No. Winter skills sessions and fall regional trainings are completely optional, there is no mandatory attendance and no sign-in required. Your son attends what works for his schedule. We structure the calendar this way intentionally, because we know families in NH, ME, MA and VT have long drives and busy fall sports schedules.

Can my son try out for 4 Leaf if he has never played club lacrosse before?

Yes. Tryouts are open to all players who meet the graduation year requirements. We evaluate based on athleticism, coachability, and lacrosse skill. Players who are new to the travel lacrosse scene are welcome to try out.

Where are tryouts held for boys lacrosse?

Boys tryouts for the 2026-27 season are held at four locations: Amesbury MA, Hooksett NH, Williston VT, and Portland ME. Players may attend any tryout location regardless of where they live.

What is the difference between the two teams per graduation year?

4 Leaf fields two competitive teams per grad year. Both teams train at the same standard and compete in premier events. The dual-team format creates healthy internal competition, ensures no player settles for a spot, and lets us develop more athletes at the highest level.

Our Coaches

Our experienced coaching staff is passionate and dedicated to spreading their knowledge of Lacrosse, while fostering growth and hard work amongst all players at 4Leaf.
