Mayo Fields, Stowe — Where Lacrosse Meets Vermont
Mayo Fields in Stowe is one of the premier outdoor athletic facilities in Vermont — wide open grass fields with mountain views that make even a standard Tuesday drill feel like something worth remembering. Unlike most Vermont lacrosse camps held on school grounds or parking lot turf, the Stowe camp is played in a setting that genuinely adds to the experience.
Stowe is also a full destination for families. While campers are on the field, parents can explore the Stowe Recreation Path, grab coffee on Main Street, mountain bike the Notch, or kayak the Waterbury Reservoir — just a short drive from Mayo Fields. Vermont Lacrosse — Why Stowe Is the Right Location
Vermont families have historically had to choose between driving south to Massachusetts for quality lacrosse programming or settling for camps that lack competitive coaching. 4 Leaf changes that. Our Vermont staff is pulled from our year-round coaching team — coaches who develop elite travel lacrosse players across New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont every season. This is not a camp staffed by college students running drills from a clipboard.
- Same coaching staff as 4 Leaf's Vermont travel teams
- Serving players from Burlington, Montpelier, Morrisville, Lamoille County, and beyond
- The only elite lacrosse day camp in northern Vermont with a nationally recognized club program behind it
- Built for Vermont families — no multi-hour drive to Massachusetts required

What grades can attend the Vermont lacrosse camp?
The Vermont summer lacrosse camp is open to boys and girls in grades Kindergarten through 10th grade. Players of all experience levels are welcome — from complete beginners to experienced club and travel players. Coaches group campers by age and skill level so everyone is appropriately challenged.
Does my child need to be on a 4 Leaf travel team to attend?
No. The Vermont summer day camp is open to any youth lacrosse player in the region regardless of what team or organization they play for. Many campers come from town programs, other clubs, or no prior team at all. This is a great first introduction to 4 Leaf for families who are curious about the program.
What is the cost of the Vermont lacrosse camp?
Early bird registration is $300 per player. Regular registration is $350 per player after the early bird deadline. A sibling discount is available — contact drew@4leaflax.org for the discount code before you register.
Is lunch provided at camp?
No — campers bring their own packed lunch and snacks each day. Please also send a clearly labeled water bottle. If your child has a food allergy or dietary restriction, contact us at ssinger@4leaflax.org before registering.
What should my child bring to camp?
Required gear: lacrosse stick, helmet (boys), shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, mouthguard, cleats. For girls: goggles, gloves, stick, mouthguard, and cleats. Everyone should bring a water bottle, packed lunch, and sunscreen applied before arrival. A camp jersey is included in the registration fee.
What if my child has never played lacrosse before?
Beginners are fully welcome. Our coaches are experienced working with players at every level, and we structure groups by age and ability so that first-time players are always learning at the right pace. No child sits on the sideline — everyone plays every session.
Where exactly is Mayo Fields in Stowe?
Mayo Fields is located on Recreation Path access in Stowe, Vermont. It is a well-known athletic complex in the center of town, easy to find and with ample parking. Full address and directions will be confirmed via email after registration.
Is this camp only for Vermont residents?
No — families from New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and beyond are welcome to attend the Vermont camp. Some families choose Vermont specifically because it is the mid-July session and pairs naturally with a Vermont summer trip. The NH camp (June) and Maine camp (July 20) are also available if timing works better.
What makes the Stowe camp different from the NH and Maine camps?
The daily lacrosse program is the same at all three locations. What is unique to Stowe is the setting — Mayo Fields is genuinely beautiful, the surrounding Stowe area offers tremendous family activities during camp hours, and the Vermont atmosphere adds a summer-trip feel that the other locations simply cannot replicate. Many families treat the Stowe camp as the centerpiece of a Vermont vacation week.
