Boston Crease Collective - Boys & Girls Goalie Training
New Hampshire
Greater Boston's best goalie training just got better. 4 Leaf Lacrosse has teamed up with the Boston Crease Collective to bring Division I–level goalie coaching to your crease. Small groups. Elite coaches. Real results.
What Is the Boston Crease Collective Goalie Training?
The goalie is the one player who touches every single possession. So why do most goalies get the least coaching on the field?
4 Leaf Lacrosse is changing that. We've partnered with the Boston Crease Collective, the goalie arm of the New England Lacrosse Collective, to bring the most dedicated goalie training in Greater Boston to 4 Leaf families. Every session is built by goalies, for goalies, and led by coaches who have stood in the cage at Virginia, Penn, Georgetown, Maryland, Drexel, Dartmouth and St. Lawrence.
This isn't shooting practice with a goalie in the way. It's a full curriculum focused on one position, delivered in small groups where every goalie gets real reps and real feedback. Open to boys and girls, whether or not they play for 4 Leaf.

Meet the Boston Crease Collective
The Boston Crease Collective is the goalie program of the New England Lacrosse Collective, founded by Dan Marino (UVA '16) and Matty Corbelle (St. Lawrence '18). Their belief: every player has a ceiling far higher than they realize, and the coach's job is to help them reach it.
What Your Goalie Will Work On
Every session follows the Collective's three-step model:
- Assess. Coaches evaluate each goalie's stance, movement, hands and game sense.
- Develop. Goalies get a focused plan and high-rep technical work on their biggest gaps.
- Compete. Skills are tested against live shooters, game-speed reps and pressure situations.
Focus areas include:
- Stance, set position and explosive first step
- Arc movement and angle play
- Hand speed and reaction time
- Reading shooters' hands, hips and release
- Low, bounce and off-stick saves
- Clearing, outlets and starting the transition
- Communication and running the defense
- Mental toughness and resetting after a goal
Frequently Asked Questions — Boston Crease Collective
My child is brand new to goalie. Is this too advanced?
Not at all. Coaches meet every goalie where they are. Beginners build a strong foundation; experienced goalies get pushed.
Does my goalie need to play for 4 Leaf?
No. Any goalie in the grade range is welcome.
Is this for boys or girls?
Both. Our staff includes coaches from the men's and women's college game.
How is this different from team practice?
At practice, goalies mostly face shots. Here, every minute is spent teaching the position: footwork, angles, hands, clearing and mindset.
Is there a multi-session discount?
Session pricing is $90 per session or $550 for 7 sessions (save $80). Contact drew@4leaflax.org for questions about multi-session packages or sibling situations.
